I’ve known Manny for some time but I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting his girlfriend (now fiance) which made me the perfect stranger to be inside the beautiful church. Manny and I met beforehand to plan everything out. I was going to be in the church 30 minutes early and pretend to be admiring the wonderful architecture. We had a signal planned out that and even a back up plan. We drew up schematics and and floor plan of the church. We had it covered.
And of course we had to improvise it all since nothing went as planned, Manny got so excited that he arrived at the church 1 hour early. That’s 15 minutes before I was supposed to be there, so I had to sneak in through the back while he ate a snack outside the church. As soon as I walked in I heard nothing. Pure silence; there was no one at the church. I stuck out like a sore thumb and figured I should hide by the side and let them walk by. Once they did I saw the ‘signal’ and I started snapping away. It happened so fast and it was so beautiful… and of course she said, “Yes.”
