When I met Iris & John for the first time I knew I was in for an amazing experience. Iris & John have this amazing energy that is so contagious that you can’t help but to feel more livelier & joyful after hanging out with them.
Iris & John met at UCI, both majoring in Biology and also having some of the same friends. Their paths were bound to cross and they became friends. The friendship manifested itself after attending the same classes, studying for the same finals and hanging out with friends. And like most love stories based in friendship, boy falls for the girl and the girl has no idea. I thought it was amazingly cute and fitting for such a remarkable couple.
One night John mustard up the courage and asked Iris out to dance and Iris thought nothing of it, but wonder why John was acting a little different, a little shy, and little timid. Trust me, once you meet John he is the complete opposite of all those things. He is funny, confident & outgoing. The night ended and this love story was put on hold. Soon after John told Iris how he felt and they began dating and the rest is history. Iris may have not gotten the initial clue but gesture was still sweet and in the end they ended up together. I thought the story was adorable and I couldn’t be any happier for the both of them.

I love the next two images, this is the exact spot where John notice Iris for the first time. John was sitting down and he saw Iris talking to one of his friends.

I’ve known Karina since freshmen year of High School and I remember we met in English class and we continue our friendship over the years. After high school I would meet up with Karina and Marisol (Karina’s Maid of Honor) at Starbucks and we would catch up and talk how our lives were going. Years pass and slowly I lost contact with her but faith would have our paths cross again, and to my suprise it would also bring her engagement to Omar.I was happy that Karina & Omar choose me as their photographer to capture their special day. I was honored Karina picked me since I knew Karina has a love & appreciation of photography since we did take Photography class with Mr. Farnsworth together in High School.
Over the weekend I met up with Karina & Omar at Newport Beach Backbay and we shot their beautiful engagement session. It was beautiful day and lighting couldn’t be any better, especially since the last two weeks there has been nothing but Spring gloom.

After Backbay we headed down to Corona Del Mar to enjoy the sunset and finish up the shoot.

Last week I met up with Marcy & Pablo at Los Angeles’ Union Station to photograph their Engagement Session. It was a first visiting Union Station and it prove to be quite a treat. All three of us being from OC we rarely get to see and appreciate such historic beauty that’s put to use on a daily basis. I told myself I would suffer through the LA traffic again just to visit the station, but we’ll see how that goes.
I met Marcy & Pablo close to five years ago when we all use to work in Department Store and eventually went our separate ways but we were able to keep in touch via social media. Each photograph I would shoot I would get a message from Pablo giving me praises. One time he mention that I should do his wedding, to my surprise he wasn’t kidding. LOL. After 5 years you’ll be amazed how little people change and how much you easily fall back to old familiar conversations. It was one of the fun shoot and I’m super excited for their wedding at the end of the month.
